Hermès has unveiled a video showcasing its Hermès 'Petit H' Creative Lab project, which sees the luxury house turn its iconic designs into one-off objects thanks to an upcycling initiative.
The video, which can be seen at http://vimeo.com/40228843, sees pieces such as the famous Kelly bag become a wall clock, and promotes the label's Petit H project which sees artists and designers use leftover materials to make unique pieces including accessories and home decorations.

Hermès isn't the only luxury brand to explore material repurposing, with jewelry house Cartier currently presenting its Cartier, Jeweler of the Arts expo in Paris, showcasing the works that artists such as David Lynch made using precious and semi-precious stones no longer deemed suitable for Cartier jewelry.
Meanwhile, designer brands such as Paul Smith, Lanvin and Armani are also getting in on the upcycling phenomenon, eco-fashion campaigner Livia Firth famously wore an Armani gown partly made from recycled plastic bottles to the Golden Globes back in January signaling the design label's debut sustainable gown.
