Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey announced the three designers he has personally selected as finalists for this year's Fashion Fringe award May 22, with womenswear creators Haizhen Wang, Teija Eilola and Vita Gottlieb all in the running for the prize.
Previous winners of the London-based emerging talent platform, this year chaired by Bailey, have included Basso & Brooke, Erdem and most recently Fyodor Golan.
Fashion Fringe offers its eventual winner a two-year development package comprising financial support, business advice, mentoring and an equipped London studio.
Now on the whittled down shortlist, Chinese designer Wang, Finnish creator Eilola and London-born Gottlieb will get to work on their capsule collections before unveiling them at this September's London Fashion Week.
'I cannot wait to see the fruits of their hard work in September -- this really is just the beginning of their journey,' said Bailey.
